FAQs

What is THC?

THC is the abbreviation for tetrahydrocannabinol. THC is the most well-known and most abundantly available cannabinoid in cannabis plants. It is the component in cannabis that is responsible for a psychoactive effect, also known as the “high.”  After consumption, THC interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in our bodies. This interaction produces a variety of physiological, medicinal, and therapeutic effects.

Why is the source of THC important?

In recent years, thousands of cannabinoid products have flooded the market. However, there hasn’t been an equivalent regulatory response; as a result, many products are mis-claimed and mis-labeled, foreign grown/processed, and/or laden with undesirable elements like mold, mildew, E. coli, and heavy metals. This can impact both the safety and therapeutic effectiveness of products. Kria believes in complete transparency within our hemp supply chain; all of our hemp is third-party tested, and source-traceable from small, local, organic farms to ensure a quality product.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid molecule that has been shown to support balance and regulation in the body. CBD is a phytocannabinoid extracted from hemp. THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid molecule that is extracted from the marijunanna plant. Their main difference is the plant from which they are extracted and the influence each cannabinoid has on the body.

How should I store my THC products?

We recommend storing your products stored in a dry, cool, UV protected place. Any UV rays, even indirect, can cause cannabinoids and terpenes to oxidize and degrade over time.

Do you use third party labs for testing?

We offer third party testing for all raw materials and finished products. We test our product at every stage during processing to ensure quality and safety for every batch moving through each stage of our process. In addition, we test every finished good with a third party before it leaves our facility.
